Frequently Asked Questions

What does Daniels Consulting do?

We help businesses improve three connected areas: People, Performance and Process. This includes recruitment support, candidate pre-screening, onboarding, probation, employee relations, performance management, risk reviews, SOPs, policies, coaching and operational process improvement.

Who do you work with?

We primarily work with established businesses that already have employees, managers and operating processes. We also support growing businesses that want to formalise their systems before complexity becomes a larger problem.

Do we need to know which service we need?

No. Tell us what is happening in the business. We will help you determine whether the issue sits within People, Performance, Process or a combination of the three.

Do you provide recruitment services?

Yes. We can help clarify the role, identify potential candidates, review applications, conduct initial pre-screening and prepare a shortlist for the employer’s interview and selection process.

Do you make the final hiring decision?

No. We support the process, but the employer remains responsible for the final interview, selection, offer and appointment decision.

Do you conduct background checks?

Initial candidate pre-screening is not the same as formal background verification. Criminal, qualification, identity, credit or employment checks must be completed through an appropriate provider, with the required consent and where relevant to the role.

Can you help after a candidate has been appointed?

Yes. We can develop the onboarding, induction and probation process so that the expectations discussed during recruitment carry through into the employee’s first months.

Can you improve an existing performance-management process?

Yes. We can review the current system, identify gaps and create a clearer process for expectations, reviews, feedback, improvement planning and progress tracking.

How do you approach poor performance?

We look at the wider working environment before recommending action. This includes role fit, expectations, onboarding, training, management support, tools and operational processes.

What does risk management include?

Our focus is on practical people and operational risks, such as missing documentation, unmanaged probation, inconsistent performance records, unclear policies, recurring service failures, weak controls and unresolved workplace issues.

Do you create SOPs and policies?

Yes. We develop operational procedures, workflows and practical workplace documentation. Where formal legal drafting or specialist regulatory advice is required, we will recommend input from an appropriately qualified professional.

Do you provide labour-law advice?

We provide practical process, documentation and employee-relations support within our scope. Formal legal opinions, representation or regulated legal services should be handled by a qualified labour-law professional.

Can you facilitate workplace conflict?

We can support structured workplace discussions, communication and action planning. Formal arbitration, legal representation or specialist dispute resolution may require referral.

Do you offer training and coaching?

Yes. We provide manager coaching, performance support, customer service training, workplace communication and process-implementation guidance.

Can you work remotely?

Many consulting, documentation and coaching services can be delivered remotely. On-site requirements, travel and service areas are confirmed during scoping.

How much do your services cost?

Focused services start from R3,500. Final pricing depends on the scope, complexity, number of employees, documentation required and implementation support.

Do you offer monthly support?

Yes. Monthly advisory support starts from R4,500 per month and is scoped around an agreed level of access and support.

What happens after we enquire?

We begin with a focused conversation about the business and the challenge. If the matter falls within our scope, we recommend a practical next step and provide a written quotation.
